Hola!

Today we want to share a few tips for those planning an outdoor party. We thought it might be much needed since covid has put some restrictions on our lifestyles at the moment.

Here are some tips to celebrating quarantine style.

For those that are celebrating intimidly in their backyard or park here are some tips that may help when planning.

TIPS:

  • Be ready to move the setting indoor if weather changes or have a tentative date.

  • Use Food Covers - this will prevent bugs or insects from being near the food.

  • Cake or anything that may melt should be stored in a cool place. For example, if you are at home bring it out right before taking pictures.

  • Wind is something else you can not control. If it’s too windy I would say to limit decor just because you want to enjoy your time instead of worrying on keeping things from flying off. Things like paper plates, paper cups, napkins, balloons, lightweight linens, etc… are items that can be affected by the wind) Another tip is using weights that can keep things from flying away. I love using pretty stones or covered tiles.

  • Too much heat can pop balloons (have a few extra if you are blowing them up yourself)

  • Flowers flowers are always the way to go for outdoor. Just keep them hydrated.

IDEAS:

  • You can setup a cute picnic style. Repurpose things you already own at home like pillows, lanterns, plates, vases, etc…

  • You can use your Patio/Balcony/Park/Fire Escape

  • Brunch/Dinner tablescape

There is a beautiful sentiment to celebrate small. As much as some may want to party big, I say to take this time to really appreciate the blessings you have and make it all count. Safety is first of course. You know the drill.

Happy Weekend!
